Reverend Bizarre
Reverend Bizarre
Combining Finland’s freezing winds and a mourning atmosphere, with their influences by the mighty Black Sabbath, while worshiping pure and epic doom metal bands like Saint Vitus, Count Raven, Pentagram, Trouble, Candlemass, Solitude Aeturnus, Scald, Solstice and Witchfinder General, three guys with nicknames like Albert Witchfinder, Peter Vicar and Earl of Void, set some standards about how pure traditional true sabbathical doom should sound like. According to my opinion, one of the best true doom metal bands ever. Unbelievable extra slow songs, with some mid-tempo parts, heavy guitars, incredible drumming and majestic colorful preaching by Albert, Reverend Bizarre give to their audience a strange feeling. Sometimes wicked but also magical. While listening to this huge band you can only dream and feel ready to surrender in front of this enormous beast which is called Reverend Bizarre. Ruthless but also archetypal and apocalyptic. Often eerie but also nostalgic. Tremendous but extraordinary. I believe there are no words to describe those Finish guess’s music and performance. Best solution is to close your eyes and travel with them to a different dimension where you will beg for your journey not to be ended….
